Draft — pending legal review. This is a working draft for the current preview of Auspice. It reflects how we intend to operate and will be finalized with counsel before Auspice opens to the public. Where a detail below is still being settled, we say so.
What Auspice is
Auspice computes Western astrology, BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, numerology, tarot, and I Ching readings from the birth details you provide, and offers a guided conversation with the Oracle. Everything Auspice produces is reflective guidance for self-reflection and entertainment. It is not prediction, and it is never medical, legal, or financial advice. You stay responsible for your own choices; for decisions in those areas, consult a qualified professional.
Who can use Auspice
You must be at least 16 years old to use Auspice. We check this when you enter your birth date at onboarding: an age under 16 stops there, and no birth details are kept from an account that does not meet it. If you add other people to Bonds, add adults only.
Your account
Auspice is guest-first: a private, anonymous session is created on your device, and you may optionally attach an email address to carry your chart across devices. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and email secure. You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & privacy; deletion removes your data in full and removes the sign-in itself.
Acceptable use
Please use Auspice with care for yourself and others. Do not use it to harass, stalk, or probe another person's private life; do not attempt to break its security, evade its rate limits, scrape it, or resell its output as professional advice; and do not misuse the Oracle to seek instructions for harming yourself or anyone else. The Oracle will step back from those requests, and we may suspend access that abuses the service.
Adding other people (Bonds)
Bonds lets you add another person's birth details to explore your connection. Only add adults, and only people whose details you may reasonably use. You are responsible for that choice. Their details are treated as carefully as your own: they are included when you export your data and are removed when you delete your account. See the Privacy Policy for how third-party birth data is handled.
Subscriptions and billing
The core experience is free and stays free. An optional Premium tier unlocks deeper readings and a higher Oracle allowance. Premium is currently offered on two plans — around US$9.99 per month or US$59.99 per year — and the annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. Current pricing is always shown in the app before you subscribe.
Cancelling is one tap away in the billing portal, with no retention maze. When you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then simply stops; we do not bill you again. If you cancel during the annual trial before it ends, you are not charged.
Our billing covenant. We do not use dark patterns. We never bill weekly, by the minute, or by credits or coins; we never invent fake urgency, countdowns, or scarcity to push an upgrade; and there is no paid way to repair a streak. If we ever change prices, the change applies only to future periods and is announced in the app first.
Not professional advice
Auspice does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and nothing it says should be relied on as such. It does not diagnose or treat any condition, predict health, pregnancy, or death outcomes, or recommend trades, investments, or bets. If a topic calls for a professional — a clinician, lawyer, or financial adviser — please reach for one. If you are in crisis, our support resources list people who can help right now.
Availability and changes to the service
Auspice is offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis while in preview. We may add, change, or retire features, and there may be interruptions for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We will not intentionally remove your ability to export or delete your data.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auspice and its maker are not liable for decisions you make in reliance on its reflective guidance, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you. This section will be finalized with counsel.
Governing law
Governing law and the venue for any dispute are to be confirmed with legal counsel before launch (placeholder — jurisdiction to be finalized). Until then, these draft terms describe our intended practices rather than a binding legal agreement.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Auspice grows; material changes are announced in the app. Questions go to brian@bmdigital.io.
